Description
Little Cypress, the little princess who had everything, but lacked everything, moved heaven and earth to meet her mother. She went through sea mazes and whirlpools, overcame the obstacles put in her way by the dragons and beasts that held the underwater passages and wanted her far from her mother’s arms, but in the end she made it. She found her mother and in the sweet embrace she said her lament “…I sat near the fire but I was cold, mother…I was very cold without your caress, your voice, your embrace… I sat at a rich table but I was hungry, mother… I was never satisfied with rich food… I only wanted your embrace “even though I ate stones”… I had the bird’s milk but I was thirsty, my sweet mother, I was thirsty for your song, your lullaby, your laughter… and her mother, with tears in her eyes, assured her that “…nothing can separate us anymore… for there is no life if the heart leaves the body and you, my Cypress, are my heart…”. Happy now, Cypress proclaims: “I found my mother, I found my roots, I found my yesterday and my tomorrow… around me everything is light and I only want to live in this light… forever…”.
