The blog is a Web 2.0 tool that promotes collaboration, interaction and sharing of material. Its use in the field of education can contribute to various levels of the educational process. It traces the ways in which the educational blog is managed and used by primary and secondary school teachers. It also explores their observations of the use of the educational blog in their teaching and their views on its effectiveness as an educational tool. The method used is a field review and data was collected by sending, completing and submitting an electronic questionnaire. Teachers from all over Greece serving in primary and secondary education, public or private, responded to the questionnaire. Their opinions contribute to the conclusion that the blog is an effective educational tool that can enrich the educational process, help students’ understanding and learning, improve interpersonal relationships between members of the educational community, communication and collaboration.
