The contribution of the Orthodox Church of Romania to the realization of national unification from the past until the Union of 1928

In the present geographical limits of the country of Romania, the clergy, both upper and lower, have been, from the first moment of the national awakening, on the side of the people. The contribution of the clergy has also been great in the national uprisings, as well as in dealing with foreign religious propagandists, especially the Calvinists. Alongside the contribution of the clergy, the contribution of the rulers was also significant, who, until the final union of the principalities, also contributed to the difficult work of the Church, especially financially.
